Hi there! We’re Kalpa and Natalie, a couple of travel-loving teachers from Kalutara,

Sri Lanka, and now proud parents to our little explorer, Noah!

Our love for travel began long before we met. I (Kalpa) grew up in Kalutara and started exploring the

beauty of Sri Lanka with my parents from the little age.

By the time I was 17, I had journeyed through most of the country – except the North and East,

which were inaccessible due to the civil war. After the war ended, I made it a mission to explore

those regions too.

In 2016, I married Natalie – another travel enthusiast and together we’ve been on an

incredible journey. From road trips to camping, hiking to adventure travel.

We completed a full loop around our mother land – Sri Lanka by 2018, covering its

iconic landscapes and hidden gems.

Our wanderlust didn’t stop there. We expanded our horizons and began exploring Asia,

discovering the diverse cultures and scenic beauty beyond our island all while teaching in

International schools and earning our Master’s Degrees by 2022.

In 2024, our biggest adventure began – Parenthood!

We welcomed our biggest adventure yet-little Noah started travelling with us at just

2 months old.

and by his first birthday – 02/05/2025, he’s already seen three-quarters of Sri Lanka

from beachside to hill-county hikes.

Now, we’re excited to share our travel stories, tips and family-friendly guides with you

whether you’re a solo backpacker, a couple seeking adventure or parents daring to travel

with tiny explorers.

This blog is our way of sharing the unforgettable experiences, practical tips and

heartfelt stories we’ve gathered over the years as solo travelers, as a couple and now

as a travel loving family.
